Sprawling is probably the best word to describe the Samsung Galaxy A series. Why? Because the line up is very diverse, from budget to high-end offers. As we all know, the Korean giant company launched a number of newest smartphones in the beginning of 2021 known as the Samsung Galaxy A series. It consists of Galaxy A32, Galaxy A52, and Galaxy A72. However, it can be said that the Galaxy A52 has the brightest popularity among others.

Comes in the middle-class segment, the Samsung Galaxy A52 offers an attractive design as well as tough features. Let’s take a glimpse of this popular smartphone.

Unboxing

When you buy the Galaxy A52, it comes in a simple two-piece package that is made from thick and rigid paper. Nothing too fancy. When it comes to accessories, you will get a charger or the regular type-A variety and a matching type-A to type-C cable. The smartphone supports up to 25W charging but it does not come with one. Instead, the box includes a basic 15W unit. It might vary in the markets so that it will be better if you ask your selected retailer.

Design

Though it comes in the mid-range segment, the design of the Galaxy A52 looks like Samsung’s high-end smartphones. Mid-range smartphones usually use glossy materials in their rear body. But the Galaxy A52 uses matte materials instead, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Thanks to the matte material, you will leave no fingerprints so that the body looks clean. The Galaxy A52 comes in 3 different colours, which are blue, black, and violet.

The body feels sturdy, though the frame and rear body uses plastic. The Galaxy A52 has an IP68 certification, which means this smartphone is water resistant up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Moreover, it is also resistant to dust.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy A52 serves quite tough performance in its class, thanks to the 8GB RAM and Snapdragon 720G processor chipset. For the operating system, the smartphone adopts Android 11 with One UI 3.1. This newest version of One UI provides a comfortable interface to use. For the internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A52 comes in 2 options, which are 128GB capacity and 256GB capacity. Both are enough to store various types of content and files.

Overall, the performance is satisfying. You can even smoothly play popular online mobile games, such as Call of Duty, AOV, Mobile Legends, and PUBG Mobile with high graphics settings. Supported with a good stereo speaker, playing games with this smartphone is fun.

Camera

The Galaxy A52 has 4 cameras in its rear body. The cameras consist of a 64MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro camera, and 5MP depth camera. It also has a 32MP lens for the front camera. The 64MP main camera guarantees high-quality photos. The Auto mode can capture pictures well at night. OIS or Optical Image Stabilizer is useful when recording a video in motion so that the result remains stable.
